I began reading this book and quickly estimated that it's sci-fi. Because of the story line, I began feeling sympathy for some of the people. After a tragedy, I started to get an odd feeling about the nature of the people. I really enjoyed the story and highly recommend it for light reading with a bit of a message. It's short, doesn't take a lot of time, but it's clever, creative and in a way, symbolic. It sets you thinking about the lives of other beings in our universe.Product details

For a quirky, quick read, this short story kept my interest. I wanted to find out if my hunch was correct about the main characters, and it was, so when I got to the end I felt compelled to re-read it to check for consistencies and answers. I was left with several questions to which answers were not apparent, but the story line contained enough darkly humorous elements to leave me feeling entertained nevertheless. If developed and edited a bit more, Aranaea Oculis would make a great "Grimm" fairy tale!
